Oh yes. Also my gauge cluster is kinda dirty.
1995 530i with one muffler cut off. It shoots some mean flames (underneath the car towards the back, actual pipes will be put on next weekend).

Negative MPG

It’s pegged at 0

but there physically isn’t a needle

And which muffler did you cut out by the way? The center one under the car or the one by the tailpipes?

Right, and 0 isn’t onthat scale, so it’s stuck out of view on 0.

The one at the tailpipes. Left about 2" of tubing coming from the center one.

He’s right, it drops into the dash. It’s just a vacuum gauge, really.

It’s reading 0 mpg because the car isn’t moving anywhere and BMW has the 0 position tucked away under the tachometer face.

M60 always sounds good

It’s interesting because it’s very small. Only 3.0L. Sounds different at higher rpm than other V8s. Also shoots flames on queue. Which is nice.

4.4 with an exhaust leak sounds like a glorified mud truck.

Oh I know it all too well

I ask because I’ve been thinking about doing a muffler delete and I’ve been wondering which muffler I’d remove and what it’d sound like removing one vs the other. We have almost sort of the same car kind of so it’s close enough for me. I like the way that sounds.

I don’t know what it sounds like with two removed, but it’s nice and loud now. Can easily wake up the neighbors.
